Verso: Bible Screen Time is published by Peidus Products OÜ, Ahtri tn 12, 15551 Tallinn, Estonia.

Apps aren't locking

The app shields the apps you choose using Apple's Screen Time, until you have read today's verse. Three things have to be true:

  • Screen Time permission was granted. The app asks once, during onboarding. If it was declined, go to iOS Settings → Screen Time and make sure it is on for this device, then reopen the app.
  • You have picked apps to lock. Nothing is locked until you select it — the app never picks apps for you.
  • Today's verse hasn't been read yet. After you read it, your apps open for a while; the shield returns for the next day's reading.

The shield lifts by itself as soon as you have read today's verse.

The Bible, daily verses and plans

The complete Bible (King James Version, all 66 books) is bundled and readable offline, cover to cover, and it is free forever — Scripture is never behind a subscription and there is no translation paywall. The daily verse is available in KJV, ASV and WEB. Four reading plans are included free: the Gospel of John, Psalms of Comfort, Proverbs, and the Sermon on the Mount. The app and all Scripture in it are in English.

The verse widget

The home and lock screen widget shows the verse of the day and is free. With premium, the widget verse refreshes every 2 hours instead of once a day. After changing settings, give iOS a few minutes — the system decides exactly when widgets refresh.

About the ads

The free version shows a small banner on some screens and an occasional full-screen ad after your reading is done. Ads are never personalized, never appear while you read Scripture, and never interrupt your daily reading. Premium removes all ads.

Premium, restoring and cancelling

The core app — locking, the daily verse, the full Bible, plans, streaks and the widget — is free. Premium adds your full reading record, the 2-hour widget cadence, extra share-art styles, and removes ads.

  • Restore a purchase — tap Restore Purchases on the upgrade screen while signed in with the same Apple ID you bought it with.
  • Manage or cancel a subscription — subscriptions are billed by Apple, not by us, so they are managed at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions (or iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancelling there stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue them ourselves, but tell us if something went wrong — we want to know.
  • "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the app, not your own lifetime.

Your data and deleting it

Your streak, journal, reading position, plan progress, settings and app-lock selection live only on your device. There is no account and no server of ours. Deleting the app removes all of it — there is nothing for us to erase. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

Reporting a bug

Email us with as much of this as you can — it usually saves a round trip:

  • your iPhone or iPad model and iOS version;
  • the app version (Settings, at the bottom);
  • what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead;
  • a screenshot, if it helps show it.
